St Patrick's Day In NYC

It's my first time in New York City and I'm absolutely loving  it so far.  The people, food, and of course the fashion--it's all been great.  This is a day late but here was my green ensemble for St Patrick's Day.  

Anyone live or have visited NYC have recommendations for sites or food?  I love to go where the locals go and discovering new things.  Comment below or shoot me an email.

Slum Chic with Gant, Hydrogen-1, and DKNY

     I sometimes pick up items without even knowing how to wear them.  I've always been fond of hybrid shoes but never knew how to dress them.  Hyrdrogen-1 is a great way to step into hybrids--they are versatile enough to go with just about anything.  Oh and did I mention they are made in Italy.  Winning!!

::Varsity Blues::

     So we had another brief period of rain and the spring chill came along with it.  Fall and winter are my favorite seasons for layering so I wasn't all that upset about the cold.

     Michael Bastian's prep style of shirt and tie under a rugby polo was the inspiration behind this outfit.  On top of that, I layered a varsity style jacket.

     For colors, I layered rugby stripes with a plaid shirt and a floral print tie.

      Brushed suede monk straps added texture to the winter feel, but the colored socks kept the outfit relevant to Spring.
