NYC: Casual in Chinatown



Casual doesn't have to mean sweats and a t-shirt.  Jumping subways and walking all over Manhattan--comfort while not looking like a tourist was a priority.  Loosened up tie, leather jacket, and looser fit pants created comfort but the outfit still maintained style.  The Rogue boot had a brogue upper and a thick rubber sole that allowed for a whole day of urban hiking.

NYC: The Wolf of Wall Street

NYC men always look as though they are headed to work or coming off of work.  It's about dressing nice and suiting up because one wants to and not because one has too--that's what I love about NYC.  It's a change to walk into a bar with a full-on suit and not a single person thinks twice or assumes you are overdressed.

St Patrick's Day In NYC

It's my first time in New York City and I'm absolutely loving  it so far.  The people, food, and of course the fashion--it's all been great.  This is a day late but here was my green ensemble for St Patrick's Day.

     We've seen what a floral shirt and a classic Fred Perry jacket can look like.  Now let's add some urban edge and pair the exact same outfit with a white denim jacket.  It goes to show that an extensive wardrobe isn't needed--rather mixing items will radically change any look.

Scott's Menswear: Fred Perry Part II

     To flip how a typical sailing jacket is worn--I paired it with a floral shirt and a polka-dot tie.  I hope you guys enjoy how I balanced bold with some classic pieces.

Scotts Menswear: Dressed-Up Polo featuring Fred Perry

Fred Perry, specifically their polos have always been on my radar however I've never known how to style them.  The folks over at Scotts Menswear were gracious enough to let me style one of their polos.  Rather then treating the polo as casual-wear, I styled it as though it were a full button up.
