Master & Dynamic

The Modern Thinking Cap

master & dynamic

A commitment to not just style but also quality, New York based Master & Dynamic is a premium audio company obsessed with sound and creativity.  We joined them for a night at Kinfolk 90 in Brooklyn.

Whether traveling, sitting in a coffee shop, or taking the train home, it's hard not to see everyone lost in their own world.  Head down in our phones and headphones providing a little escape from the outside world, it's the only control we have in a world filled with distractions.  However there's a big difference between listening to your favorite Taylor Swift record on generic headphones and experiencing the music as the artist intended.

Master & Dynamic engineered their products with heavy-duty materials such as fine leather and stainless steel.  Their headphones weren't made to slam you with bass or drown you in treble, rather it's the perfect balance of a natural, detailed live sound signature.  The tuning was designed to complement a diversity of tastes and music genres.  With easily replaceable parts, these may be the last pair of headphones you ever buy.

True to their New York roots and commitment to supporting the creative community, Master & Dynamic partnered with Harlem Village Academies (HVA) High, a public charter school in Harlem and part of the five-school HVA network (read more here).  With a recent contribution of $105,000, Master & Dynamic are proud to sponsor the arts and invest in the next generation of creatives.

The listening stations at the Kinfolk 90 event gave attendees the opportunity to get hands on with the MH30 and MH40.  After a ten minute conversation about the products with who I thought was a product representative turned out to be Mr. Levine (founder and CEO) himself.  Humble and hilarious, it was nice talking about the products honestly and openly not knowing who he was.  To speak to the type of person he was, he dropped off a box of pizza at our table from the food truck outside.
